»Cars need oil! Never forget.« is a poster I did for the CalArts Graphic Design Love&Heartbreak show. I dedicated it to my car, Monterey. The background story:
It happend on New Year’s Eve. On our way back from San Francisco my car’s (since our trip called »Monterey«) engine started knocking. Really loud. Scary... Well, it turned out that we run it with no oil. It didn’t tell us that it needed anything! Three bottles of oil were not able to save it anymore. At least we made it back to CalArts. New car? No way. No car? Noooo way!!! After three weeks of excitement I finally got it back from the mechanic. New engine, new water pump, new thermostate, new heater hoses and new radiator hoses. $1.500. Shit happens.
